PESHAWAR: The provincial Secretary-General of National Awami Party Pakistan (NAPP), Sardar Hussain Bacha, has thanked the government for declaring a few districts calamity-hit due to drought which has badly affected the agricultural output in the Province.
In a statement issued to the Press, he said due to lack of rains, it was the responsibility of the government to declare all the districts as calamity-hit beside providing maximum financial help to the farmers who had to face unbearable loss.
Sardar Bacha said that the districts around Swat had been declared calamity-hit while the Swat District, which was also badly affected due to drought was ignored and not declared as calamity-hit area by the concerned authorities.
He demanded of the government to declare all districts of the area as calamity-hit and also sought maximum help for the affected farmers and their families.
